This is a hands-on course where you can make your first bonsai with all the materials provided! It’s a fun and interactive time, with all the steps demonstrated so it is easy to follow along. Students will do a transformation on a young and flexible tree and walk away with their first bonsai.

At this particular workshop: We will focus on how to make design decisions to transform a bushy tree into a shaped bonsai, pruning steps and light wiring to bend branches into position.
About the species: Juniper are a classic species for bonsai appreciated for their twisty shape and deadwood features . They are outdoor trees so having a place to store them outside on the ground in winter will help them stay healthy.
What to bring: Everything is provided including disposable gloves. Some people like to bring their own gloves though.
