This is a hands-on course where you can make your first bonsai with all the materials provided! It’s a fun and interactive time, with all the steps demonstrated so it is easy to follow along. Students will do a transformation on a young and flexible tree and walk away with their first bonsai.

At this particular workshop: We will focus on how to make design decisions to transform a bushy tree into a shaped bonsai, pruning steps and light wiring to bend branches into position.
About the species: Dwarf Jade trees work well as an indoor bonsai species. They tend to recover if you allow them to dry out on occation and respond well to styling.
What to bring: Everything is provided including disposable gloves. Some people like to bring their own gloves though.
