This open studio event will be a rare opportunity to get one-on-one access to a rising star in the bonsai world. Fresh from his six year apprenticeship in Japan, Michael will review one specimen tree per student and everyone will get the opportunity learn from his guidance and technique.

About the event
Do you have a conifer in your collection that you want to take to the next level? This workshop will be led by Michael McTeague, an accomplished Canadian bonsai artist who is a certified professional in Japan. Over a full 3 hour workshop, 5 trees will be studied giving ample time to get instruction on how best to improve your tree and your technique. Michael has a lot to offer due to the intensive study he has just completed. Read his bio on our community page and you won’t want to miss this opportunity!
Only 5 tickets will be sold. No observer tickets will be sold. We will bring some workshop tools, wire and a limited amount of other supplies to the event.
